A person who does not love his country will never be a great person no matter how capable he is, President Mahinda Rajapaksa said while attending an army passing out parade at the Sri Lanka Military Academy in Diyatalawa today (December 21).

Punishments that oppose humanitarianism should not be meted out to anyone under vengeful motives, he articulated.

Army personnel have to abide by the laws of the Army as well as the laws of the country. They also have to bear the punishments meted out by both those establishments, Mahinda Rajapaksa further emphasized addressing the gathering.
