Former Chief of Staff of former President Ranil Wickremesinghe Sagala Ratnayaka has arrived at the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID).

He is summoned to record a statement.

Earlier this week, Sandra Perera, the personal secretary of former President Ranil Wickremesinghe and former Secretary to the President Saman Ekanayake were summoned to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to record statements in connection with an investigation into foreign trips allegedly funded using allocations from the Presidential Secretariat.

Earlier, the CID launched investigations into foreign trips undertaken by Ranil Wickremesinghe during his tenure as President.
