Local as well as foreign conspiracies are taking place in regard to the arrival of the United Nations Expert Panel to Sri Lanka, says President of the Patriotic National Movement Dr. Gunadasa Amarasekara.

It appears that these foreign conspiracies are being assisted by the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP), he accused.

A hidden conspiracy is also taking place within the External Affairs Ministry regarding this visit, Dr. Amarasekara stated during a press conference today (December 24).

He expressed that the ultimate motive of these acts is to inconvenience the government.

The Secretary of the Patriotic National Movement, Wasantha Bandara who also spoke at the briefing stated that the three member panel, appointed by Ban Ki-moon, will not be allowed to set foot in the country.

“They have no need of coming to this country” he pointed out.

The former stance that the panel should not enter Sri Lanka shouldn’t be changed. We will rouse the people to stand against this visit by the panel of experts, says the Patriotic National Movement.
