Eight nabbed while digging for treasure

Police have apprehended eight persons while they were digging for hidden treasures at the Kashyapagama Historical Temple in Habarana. The place was raided today (December 26) morning after information had been received in regard to the activities, the Habarana police reported.


Objects used for excavation and ritual offerings, etc; were also discovered and taken into police custody. While two of the suspects are reported to be from Colombo all eight of them will be presented to the Kekirawa Magistrate Court later today.
