J’Pura VC is responsible for safety of protesting student

The Vice Chancellor of the Sri Jayawardenapura University should bear the responsibility for the safety of the student who has climbed a water tank within the University premises in protest of his suspension, Convener of the Inter-University Students Federation, Udul Premaratne told Ada Derana.

However, Premaratne also stated that he does not agree with the student’s form of protest while stating that the Students Federation was not involved in any capacity with the act.
