Sabaragamuwa to reopen for first year’s only

Acting Vice Chancellor of the University of Sabaragamuwa, Professor H.M.S. Priyanath states that the faculties in the university which had been temporarily closed will be reopened on Monday (January 10).


All faculties of the university apart from the Faculty of Applied Sciences will be open to first year students only, Prof. Priyanath revealed.


The Sabaragamuwa University had been temporarily closed on January 01 due to certain ragging incidents while the students had been ordered to vacate the premises by next day morning.


Studies for the other students will begin on a latter date which will be announced in the near future, the Acting VC further expressed.
