Bus service halted in Badulla

Vehicles traveling in the Badulla have been obstructed due to heavy rainfall in the area. Bus transportation from Badulla to Welimada has presently been stopped, said W. Wijeratne the Regional manager of the SLTB in the Uva Province.   


He also said that busses are not traveling from Badulla to Katenwatte, Streamvalley to Ambepura, Alugolla and Kandegedara to Galauda.


Meanwhile several houses at the 2nd Rajasingha Road in Kandy have been damaged and some 10 people injured as a result of an earth slip. Several persons who were critically injured have now been admitted to the Kandy hospital, Ada Derana correspondent stated.
