Tusker ‘Manika’ of Bellanwila Temple passes away

‘Manika,’ a majestic tusker lived at the Bellanwila Temple and was around 76 years old, passed away this afternoon (October 6).

The tusker had participated in the annual procession of the historic Bellanwila Rajamaha Viharaya for many years, becoming a beloved figure in the temple’s traditions.
