Bodies of couple hacked to death found in a house in Hungama

The bodies of a couple hacked to death with sharp weapons have been discovered in a house in Wadigala, Hungama this morning (07), police stated.

According to police, the deceased man and woman were both 28 years old and were residents of Ranna and Tissamaharama.

The man had been reportedly staying at a friend’s house with his mistress when a group of about five individuals, with their faces covered, entered the house and attacked them with sharp weapons, police stated.

The motive behind the murder has not yet been uncovered.

The bodies remain at the scene under police protection for the magistrate’s inquest.

Hungama Police are conducting further investigations.
