No risk of contagious diseases – Health Ministry

The Ministry of Health advises that there is no threat of the spreading of transmittable diseases among the people affected by the adverse weather conditions. Every necessary step has been taken to improve the health situation of the distressed persons, the Ministry pointed out.


In addition to the standard services the Health Ministry has deployed 5 special mobile teams to North Central and Eastern Provinces.    


Also a specialized protective clothing kit has been provided by the United Nations Population Fund to pregnant mothers. The government of Saudi Arabia has also arranged a team of doctors that will be sent to the island shortly.
