AUDIO: DNA will file motion to overturn warrant on Arjuna - Alles

The Democratic National Alliance (DNA) will put forward a motion to overturn an arrest warrant issued on MP Arjuna Ranatunga by the Galle Chief Magistrate, DNA Chairman MP Tiran Alles told Ada Derana.

Chief Magistrate Thamara Thennekone issued an arrest warrant on the DNA Parliamentarian for failing to appear before courts on charges of public property damage during a demonstration held in Galle for the release of Sarath Fonseka.

Mr. Alles said that the DNA will compile a report to be submitted to the Chief Magistrate stating that MP Ranatunga was in fact out of the country during the time he was to appear before courts.
