Four suspects in trouble over uploading obscene pictures onto the internet

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) informed the Colombo Magistrates Courts that they have sought the advice of the Attorney General in order to take four suspects charged with uploading obscene photographs on the internet to courts.

 

The four suspects allegedly uploaded obscene pictures of the Hikkaduwa Tourist Festival in order to undermine the efforts made to develop tourism in the country. The suspects were arrested and presented before the Magistrates Courts before being released on bail.
