One of world’s largest passenger aircraft makes emergency landing at BIA

Emirates flight EK-434, en route from Dubai to Brisbane, Australia, has made an emergency landing at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake last night.

The emergency landing was prompted after a passenger onboard suddenly fell ill, Ada Derana reporter said. 

The affected passenger was subsequently admitted to hospital for further medical treatment.  

An Airbus A380 large wide-body airliner, one of the world’s largest passenger aircraft, it landed at BIA at around 7.15 p.m. and later departed for Brisbane at around 9.20 p.m.
