Train operations affected due to adverse weather

Train operations along the main, coastal and Kelani Valley railway lines have been disrupted as a result of fallen trees obstructing the tracks, Sri Lanka Railways.

The Railway Department stated that the Northern railway line has also been affected, as the tracks in the Welioya area are submerged. Train operations along the Puttalam railway line have also been disrupted.

Furthermore, due to the adverse weather, all trains operating on the upcountry line between the Colombo Fort and Badulla stations will operate only up to the Nanu Oya station until further notice, the Railway Department announced.
