Eight spill gates of Deduru Oya reservoir opened

Eight spill gates of the Deduru Oya reservoir have been opened due to heavy rainfall in catchment areas, the Department of Irrigation has announced.

Accordingly, the Wariyapola Divisional Irrigation Office stated that four spill gates have been opened by 12 feet each and four more spill gates opened by 13 feet each, resulting in a total discharge of 69,000 cubic feet of water per second.
