Colombo-Kandy main road closed in Kegalle due to landslide risk

A section of the Colombo-Kandy main road has been closed between the 88 km and 89 km mile posts in Meepitiya, Kegalle, due to the risk of landslides.

The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) has urged drivers to use alternative routes and remain vigilant.

The public is further advised to avoid using the road except for essential travel.
