Man arrested smuggling heroin into prison

A person has been arrested attempting to smuggle heroin into the Negombo Prison. While the suspect is said to have arrived at the prison to visit an inmate he had attempted to smuggle a concealed parcel of heroin inside the prison premises.
12 grams and 310 milligrams of heroin were discovered when prison guards had searched the suspicious individual who was later handed over to the Negombo Police. He is scheduled to be presented before the Negombo Magistrates Court.
