Highest rainfall in last 24 hours recorded from Pokkanai, Kilinochchi – DMC

The highest rainfall within the last 24 hours has been reported from Pokkanai in Kilinochchi, with rainfall levels recording 274 mm, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) said. 

Other areas with significant rainfall levels include:

  • Porthkerry, Mannar - 210 mm
  • Madu, Mannar- 193 mm
  • Dunumalle Estate, Kegalle -181 mm
  • Kirindiwela, Gampaha- 121 mm
  • Glentilt Factory, Nuwara-Eliya- 104 mm
