A school child was seriously injured after meeting with an accident on the Polonnaruwa-Habarana road today with a vehicle registered to JVP Parliamentarian Anura Kumara Dissanayke, Polonnaruwa Police confirmed.
The accident took place after the child who was riding a bike at the time had entered the main road from a by-lane. The child was rushed to the Polonnaruwa General Hospital.
