Import tax on milk powder reduced

The import tax on milk powder which was Rs. 50 per kilogram has been reduced to Rs. 28 per kilogram with immediate effect, Secretary of the Cooperatives and Internal Trade Ministry, Suminda S. Sirisena said.
This was done to maintain market stability and their will be no change in the market price, the Secretary further added.
