Chairman of Ganga Ihala Korale PS granted bail

The NPP Chairman of the Ganga Ihala Korale Pradeshiya Sabha, Indika Upul Gunasekera, who was arrested in connection with an alleged assault incident, has been released on bail.
When produced before the Gampola Magistrate’s Court today (30), the court ordered his release on a personal bail of Rs. 300,000, said Ada Derana reporter.
The Magistrate further directed that the case be called again on 05 February 2026.
