320,408 displaced, death toll reaches 11

The Disaster Management Center states that presently 333,986 families have been affected by the adverse weather conditions experienced in several part of the country. Meanwhile 320,408 people have been displaced due to the floods, the DMC revealed.


The number of camps established to accommodate these displaced persons has been increased to 759.  


While 11 persons have been reported dead as a result of the disaster situation another 3 individuals are said to be still missing and 9 injured due to various accidents.


1,813 houses have faced extensive damage while 11,471 houses have been partially damaged, the Disaster Management Center further stated.
