Travel arrangements for UN’s SL Panel still under discussion: UN spokesman

Discussions are continuing concerning any arrangements for UN panel members to travel to Sri Lanka, said UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon’s spokesman Martin Nesirky during the daily noon news briefing on Monday (Feb. 7).

Asked by the media about the work of the advisory panel dealing with Sri Lanka, the Spokesperson noted that it is not essential for the panel to visit Sri Lanka in order to carry out its work. Discussions are continuing concerning any arrangements for panel members to travel to Sri Lanka, he has added.
