Lankan born convict ‘God man’ hospitalized

Sri Lankan born self-styled ‘god man’ Premananda, serving two life terms on charges of rape and murder in India, has been admitted to a hospital in Chennai following allergy and symptoms of jaundice.
Premananda, who was lodged in Cuddalore Central Prison, was shifted to the Government Stanley Medical College Hospital, where he was being treated by a team of doctors.
The godman, who had a bout of jaundice, was treated three months back at the Government General hospital here and shifted back to Cuddalore prison
But the jaundice had relapsed. He was admitted to Cuddalore Government Hospital two days back, from where he was shifted toStanley Medical College Hospital in the city late last night. His condition is being monitored by a team of doctors.
Premananda, who has been suffering from various ailments, including opthalmic problems, was granted three months’ parole during which he had underwent treatment at private hospitals recently, UNI reports.
