Man beaten to death in Horana; Two women arrested

A 32-year-old man has been allegedly beaten to death at a residence in Poruwadanda, Horana, police stated.

Police said investigations were launched after the Horana Police Station received information regarding the incident.

The victim, a resident of Poruwadanda, had reportedly gone to a nearby house where he damaged doors and windows, causing a disturbance. A woman inside the house subsequently informed the victim’s wife about the situation.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the wife later arrived at the scene and, together with the other woman, allegedly assaulted the man using a wooden pole.

Both female suspects have been taken into custody.

Further investigations are being carried out by Horana Police.
