115 flights between Sri Lanka and Middle East cancelled; Cancellations continue today

All flights from Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) to the Middle East scheduled for today (01 March) have also been cancelled due to the ongoing conflict in the region.

Since the outbreak of hostilities in the Middle East on February 28, a total of 115 flights between Sri Lanka and Middle Eastern countries have been cancelled, airport authorities said.

Following flights have been cancelled:

  • UL225 Colombo – Dubai
  • UL226  Dubai – Colombo
  • UL217 Colombo – Doha
  • UL218 Doha – Colombo
  • UL253 Colombo – Dammam
  • UL254 Dammam – Colombo
  • UL265 Colombo – Riyadh
  • UL266 Riyadh – Colombo
  • UL229 Colombo – Kuwait
  • UL230 Kuwait – Colombo
