February 18, 2011   01:06 am

The 28 Indian Fishermen who were apprehended on Wednesday night after straying into Sri Lankan waters were ordered to be kept in remand until March 1 by the Malwanam Magistrates Court in Jaffna.

The seven fishing vessels that were seized by the Police were also ordered to be kept in custody.

This decision comes after the 112 Indian fishermen arrested in Point Pedro earlier this week were ordered to be remanded for two weeks.
