Protest in Jaffna over Indian fishermen

A group of fishermen in Jafnna along with their families have begun a protest outside the Consul General’s Office demanding that the authorities carry out preventive measures against Indian fishermen who stray into Sri Lankan waters to fish.

The fishermen claim that the their livelihoods have been threatened through this activity while they demanded that these incidents are prevented in the future.
