Upcoming Grade 5 Scholarship, G.C.E. Advanced Level, and G.C.E. Ordinary Level examinations will be conducted as scheduled, the Commissioner General of Examinations, A. K. S. Indika Kumari Liyanage stated.
Speaking at a media briefing held following the release of the A/L Exam results, the Commissioner General noted that the examination timetable for 2026 had already been announced in September last year. Students have therefore been advised to prepare in accordance with those dates.
She acknowledged that frequent changes to exam schedules in recent years had caused considerable inconvenience to students. In response, authorities now aim to strictly adhere to the announced timetable this year, the Commissioner General said.
Meanwhile, practical examinations for the 2025 G.C.E. O/L are scheduled to take place from April 22 to 30.
Furthermore, the first phase of paper marking has already been completed, while the second phase commenced today (April 1).
The third phase of evaluation is set to begin from April 30, she added.
