Two arrested for hoarding over 2,000L of diesel in Thambalagamuwa

Two individuals have been arrested for hoarding a stock of fuel without a valid license in the Mollipothana area of Thambalagamuwa.

Police stated that the suspects were apprehended during a raid carried out following a tip-off.

A total of 2,045 litres of diesel were recovered from the possession of the suspects, police said.

The suspects, aged 41 and 61, have been identified as residents of Trincomalee and Thambalagamuwa.

Thambalagamuwa Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
