Over 500 arrested in island-wide anti-drug operations

According to the police, a total of 29,033 individuals were inspected during the operations conducted yesterday (02), leading to these arrests.

Among those apprehended, 10 individuals have been directly identified in connection with criminal activities.

Additionally, 222 warrant suspects and 136 individuals with open warrants were taken into custody during the raids.

Meanwhile, 115 individuals were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, police said. 

Furthermore, 110 individuals were apprehended for reckless driving, while legal action has been initiated against 4,498 persons for various other traffic-related offences, police added.
