Vaiko, Nedumaran arrested during anti-Lanka protest

Indian MDMK leader Vaiko and Communist Party of India’s Tamil Nadu secretary D Pandian, along with 400 party workers, were taken into custody today for trying to stage a protest in Chennai in front of the Sri Lankan Deputy High Commission in Chennai.
The protesters demanded the closure of the Sri Lankan deputy high commission in Chennai and tried to march towards it but they were not granted permission for the protest, the police said.
Those taken into custody included Tamil Nationalist Movement leader P Nedumaran.
