VIDEO: We will not sell out the hard fought victory - President

The hard-fought victory achieved by the forces including the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) will not be sold out, President Mahinda Rajapaksa said while addressing the opening of the week long celebrations to mark the 60th anniversary of the SLAF at the Ratmalana base.

He added that the SLAF achieved victory while inflicting minimal human casualties during the final battles against the separatist Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam and that the nation owed its gratitude towards the victorious forces.

The SLAF 60th Anniversary celebrations will be marked with a week-long public exhibition at the SLAF base in Ratmalana where the public could view the latest equipment and aircraft used by the SLAF.
