Indian stars to battle it out on the pitch

BANGALORE: With the cricket fever gripping the entire nation in view of the ICC World Cup, the Indian film fraternity too has decided to play a friendly cricket match in order to entertain their millions of fan following.
Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) Ltd, a consortium of firms such as Hyderabad- based Rhythms Entertainment, Saaraansh Media and Chennai-based Radhan Entertainment, are bringing together stars from Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada film industries for the first time.
A cricket match between Bollywood Stars and South Indian film fraternity will be held at the Vishakapatnam Cricket Stadium today (March 05), between 5.30 pm and 8 pm.
Salman Khan, the owner, will lead the Bollywood team while Venkatesh will lead the South Indian film team. Kannada actor Sudeep will act as Venkatesh’s deputy in the 20:20 format match.
A host of celebrity guests will watch their favourite stars in action.
Leading actors and actresses will cheer their teams in action.
The event will be telecast live by the Sun Group in the respective regional channels, the Express News Service stated.
