TIRUCHI: Two Sri Lankans were arrested at the airport here on Sunday after their visas were found stamped with forged arrival seals of Chennai Airport immigration authorities.

The duo – J. Jawshikdeen (26) and A. Mohamed Insaj (55) (both reported as Tamils by the newspaper) – and another Sri Lankan Tamil A. Sheikh Fareed (52) who is alleged to have made arrangements in stamping the forged arrival seals were handed over to the airport police station, reports The Hindu.

Jawshikdeen, who had sought asylum in the United Kingdom in 2008, had wanted to see his parents residing in Sri Lanka. He arrived in Chennai and is reported to have taken accommodation there.
