VIDEO: No concessions have been curtailed - Wimal

No government in the entire world offers everything to the public as concessions, said Wimal Weerawansa. The Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities Minister says that, people would become lazy to stand up on their own if they are provided with such concessions.


Speaking during a function held at the Janakala Kendraya (folk art centre), Battaramulla he stated that, even in our country people who are living harsh lives are making an effort to stand up on their own by saving little by little each month.


The present government did not curtail any concessions provided to the public, the Minister said and added that, all concessions such as Samurdhi concession, fertilizer concessions will be provided appropriately. 


The present government has not attempted to curtail even the free education privileges, Wimal Weerawansa further stressed.
