Measures are being taken to ensure that the selected local government representatives declare their assets while drafts have already been prepared for this purpose, UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake stated.

Speaking at a media conference in Colombo today (March 29) he added that apart from a declaration of assets measures will be taken to ensure their discipline and protect their image as public representatives. Workshops will also be conducted to strengthen their leadership skills and improve their knowledge on investment, management and relief work.
