New Zealand won the toss a short while ago and decided to bat first in the world cup semi-final match against Sri Lanka at the R. Premadasa stadium.

There was a question over whether New Zealand might play three spinners today, but that’s not to be as seamer Andy McKay comes in for Luke Woodcock.

The big news for Sri Lankan fans is that Murali is fit to play, and Sri Lanka retain their line-up from the quarter-final against England.

Sri Lanka: WU Tharanga, TM Dilshan, KC Sangakkara (wk,C), DPMD Jayawardene, TT Samaraweera, LPC Silva, AD Mathews, SL Malinga, HMRKB Herath, BAW Mendis, M Muralitharan

New Zealand: BB McCullum (wk), MJ Guptill, JD Ryder, LRPL Taylor, SB Styris, KS Williamson, NL McCullum, DL Vettori (C), JDP Oram, TG Southee, AJ McKay
