Lanka e-News Editor remanded till April 7

The Kaduwela Magistrates Court today (March 31) remanded Editor of Lanka e-News, Bennet Rupasinghe until April 7 after he was arrested by the Wallampitiya Police after allegedly giving threatening phone calls to Sudath Jayalath, brother of Lanka e-News attack suspect ‘Boothaya’.

 

Rupasinghe was also charged for allegedly having an armed group threaten Jayalath at gunpoint on March 11 and withholding information from the police regarding the attack on Lanka e-News.
