Lankan fishermen rescue stranded Myanmar fishermen

A group of 12 fishermen from Myanmar, left stranded after their fishing vessel was damaged while poaching in international waters, have been rescued by Sri Lankan fishermen, Navy Media Spokesman Commander Kosala Warnakulasuriya told Ada Derana.  


The fishing vessel along with its crew of Myanmar fishermen are being brought to Sri Lanka as advised by the Navy and will reach the Trincomalee harbour by tomorrow (April 16), he stated.
