When actor Mallika Sherawat went on screen with Murder in the year 2004, she garnered a lot of attention thanks to her intimate and daring scenes in the film. Now with its sequel on the way, it is actor Jacqueline Fernandez who is set to sizzle on celluloid.

The 25-year-old, who is only three films old in the industry, seems quite excited about Murder 2. “It has been a great experience working on the film as this is very different from what I have done earlier. The character I play is balanced, bold and sensuous. But she is also someone every girl can relate to,” says the former Miss Sri Lanka, who was in the capital as a brand ambassador of Panasonic.

Asked if she has any apprehensions of being compared to Sherawat? Fernandez says, “Murder 2 has a completely different narrative and once people will see it they will realise that there is no need of a comparison. i have seen Murder and loved Mallika’s performance.”

Fernandez has also shot some steamy scenes with Emraan Hashmi in the film and asked about the same, she says, “The earlier films that I have done were more in my space. This role demanded lot of courage and challenge from my end. But I feel that if you are an actor, you should be ready to do things that a role demands.”

Apart from Murder 2, Fernandez will also be seen in Sajid Khan’s sequel Housefull. Mention this sequel spree and she says, “I am going to be the next sequel queen.” Hindustan Times reports.
