LTTE suspect kept in custody for further questioning

The Colombo Magistrates Courts granted the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) more time to question a prominent LTTE member, who was arrested in Trincomalee.

 

When presented at the Magistrates Court, the CID stated that investigations had revealed the suspect was involved in the transportation of explosive materials to Colombo and surrounding areas.

 

Upon the request of the CID, the Colombo Magistrates Court allowed the suspect to be kept in custody for further questioning.
