May 6, 2011   05:59 pm

Water cut from 9pm today to 5pm tomorrow (May 07) will affect several areas in close proximity to Colombo, the Water Supply and Drainage Board announced.

The cause of the 20 hour water shortage is reported to be due to the main water line from Kalatuwawa to Dehiwala being disrupted at Maharagama.

According to the Water Board the areas affected will be: Pannipitiya, Rukmalgama, Mattegoda, Pelenwatte, Kesbewa and the main road from Piliyandala to Boralesgamuwa.
