SLTB buses help to provide sight

The Eye Bank is to utilize buses belonging to the Sri Lanka Transport Board to transport eyes needed for surgeries outside Colombo, the Director General of the Eye Bank has said.


Whenever a request is made from hospitals, these buses will carry the necessary eyes to the destination free of charge, Director General of the Eye Bank Dr. Sisira Liyanage has said.

 
As a trial this method of transport in SLTB buses will be carried out to Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura and Mahiyangana, Dr. Liyanage has said.
