May 24, 2011   05:06 pm

The Provincial Councillors of the Eastern Province abstained from attending the council session scheduled for today (May 24) in protest of TMVP member and fellow Provincial Councillor Pradeep Master’s arrest.

Pradeep Master was arrested last week along with other TMVP members for alleged involvement in a crime spurt in Batticaloa.

The next council session will be held on June 25.
