VIDEO: No secret that the FTZ worker died at the hands of the police

It is no secret that the FTZ worker who died yesterday was killed at the hands of the Police but we do not know why such a large police force was present at the protest, UNP MP Joseph Michael Perera said.

He added that protests such as this had been carried out in force previously with no problems but the difference in this incident was seen when a few parliamentarians had met the protestors to explain the situation surrounding the private sector pension bill, bringing along with them a large police force.

MP Perera also stated that the Ragama Hospital had allowed a lawyer and a judicial medical officer  to conduct the inquest and the post mortem that night which had never been done before.
