All Katunayaka police personnel transferred - Acting IGP

All police personnel attached to the Katunayaka Police station have been transferred, the Acting IGP N.K. Illangakoon told Ada Derana today. The police was blamed for the recent death of a worker of the Katunayake Free Trade Zone after clashes between Police and protestors.

 

On June 1, the then IGP Mahinda Balasuriya retired after the Katunayaka incident and the backlash which followed.
