UPDATE: Sanath recalled to ODI and T20 squad

Sanath Jayasuirya has been recalled to the Sri Lanka ODI and T20 squad to play against England starting June 25, sources told Ada Derana. With opener Upul Tharanga unlikely to be considered for selection after being embroiled in an alleged doping scandal, it was reported that Jayasuriya would likely be an option to open the innings.


Jayasuriya has been included in the Lankan squad for the ODI and T20 series against England pending approval from the Sports Minister. Thilina Kandamby has been named the Vice Captain for the tour, SLC stated.



Thilina Kandamby has been named the Vice Captain by Sri Lanka Cricket for the One Day International series against England while Sanath Jayasuriya has been confirmed as a member of the squad.

Jeevan Mendis and Dimuth Karunaratne have also been included in the squad.
