Ganja, heroin meant for Sri Lanka seized in TN

Tamil Nadu Intelligence sleuths have seized 500 gm of Heroin and 30 kg of ganja meant for smuggling to Sri Lanka at Thirupalaikudi, Ramanathapuram, Indian media reported.
Acting on a tip-off, a special team led by ´´Q´´ Branch Police Inspector Kennedy raided a house and effected the seizure. Five persons Suresh, Noor Mohammed, Mohammed Ruka, Haja Alauddin and Iqbal were arrested in this connection.
Investigations revealed that the narcotic was meant for smuggling to Sri Lanka.
The seized contraband was worth more than 10 million Indian rupees in the International market, police said. (UNI)
