Police bust timber racket in Panamura

Panamura Police has busted an organized timber racket after a suspect was arrested attempting to transport a timber load to Colombo. The illegally felled timber logs are worth approximately Rs.350,000, police reported.


The timber and the lorry used to transport them are currently held in Panamura Police custody while the suspect is scheduled to be presented before the Embilipitiya Court.
